What are the Akashic Records and How to Access Them?

I must confess before this start this post that I don’t necessarily understand or believe fully everything I read, but as I get older, I have learned not to dismiss things quite so quickly. It is possible for something to seem strange or unrealistic simply because it is not common belief. The Akashic records is possibly one of those things, and even if you don’t believe it, it is certainly a fascinating theory.

What are the Akashic Records?

This is something I happened upon when searching for information about how to meditate. I had heard many times before that people could gain higher knowledge through meditation, but never really understood how it was possible.

There are many people who believe that every thought that a person has, everything they learn and any knowledge they gain sends out signals which are then recorded in a library within the universe. Ok….stick with me! It is then said that this library of information, known as the Akashic Records can be accessed at will via meditation.

Now, I appreciate that if you are new to this concept, you might think this sounds completely cuckoo, or just simply not possible. Let me tell you a brief story.

I have practiced Kung Fu (5 Ancestors style) since 1997 under a master called Yap Leong. He was originally from Malaysia but has taught Kung Fu in London since the 70s. He is incredibly talented and is very well respected within the Kung Fu community.

He is a master of 5 Ancestors style, 5 animals, but is also a master of a particular monkey style of Kung Fu. I know that he gained most of his knowledge of Kung Fu from his master called Chee Kim Thong, but he was never formally taught this particular style of Monkey.

I was in his martial arts shop in China Town one day when I asked him how he was able to master the monkey style if he had never been taught it, to which he simply replied “I learnt it through meditation”.

As you can probably imagine, this left me with more questions than answers and walked away scratching my head. It was only when years later I heard about the Akashic Records, I wondered if this was how he did it.

Again, thinking back to the original concept, it does seem a bit crazy; however it is accepted by scientists and has been proven that thoughts produce signals, and it is not inconceivable that these signals can travel through the air and be received. After all, isn’t this how radio signals work?

Have you ever had that situation where somebody has been able to pick up your thoughts? You could argue that it is just because you know that person well, so they have guessed what you are thinking about, but there could be more to it than that.

While trying to keep an open mind, I decided to try and find out how you can access these sacred records. This of course is where it can get a bit muddled, because different people seem to have different opinions on it.

One of the key factors seems to be that you need to align yourself with the vibration of the information you want to receive, or align yourself with the spirit that placed the information into the library itself.

Could this possibly explain how psychics are able to pick up things about a crime that was committed years previously, or events that happened in the past?

Many believe that you access it through prayer or meditation, either way you have to put yourself into the correct state and vibration. You would then ‘ask’ for what information you wish to receive.

How is the information received?

It is said that the information comes in the form of symbols, and then you have to interpret what these signals mean. Also, you may simply receive the information you need as flashes of inspiration throughout the day. Have you ever experienced trying to remember somebody’s name, or a name of a song, and then the minute you give up and stop thinking about it, it suddenly pops into your head? Could this be the Akashic Records at work?

It is also important to note that the records are able to tell you about your past, your present and even your future. This might suggest that we are on a set path, but I think it is more down to the fact that the way we are and act will determine what happens to you down the line? Regarding the past, this could also be the way in which hypnotists are able to pull up information about somebody’s past life. This hypnosis technique is known as regression.

So, what are your thoughts on this? Does this make sense to you? Do you think it’s a load of nonsense? Have you heard of the Akashic records before? I would love to hear your opinion in the comments area below.

Best wishes
Phil
